Feral Elegance Designs is a one woman show run by myself, Saratops.
All bones are collected, cleaned and prepared by myself,
with occasional help from family and friends, (where would I be without my tribe?).
My goal is to make well crafted statement jewelry with integrity and unique design,
it is not to mass produce perfectionism, but to embellish the beauty of the wild.
The only thing mass produced here are compliments in waiting.
No piece will be without imperfection, and yet they will be perfect.

Please note that bones and beads may have small imperfections about them.
When work is crafted one piece at a time, you will see the makers hands within each piece.

*A Note On Bones*
Bones used in my work have been wildscavednged or ethically sourced.
What does that mean?
I find most of the bones while out hiking the foothills near my home in Idaho, and on occasion have been known to also use bones from roadkill. Please note, when finding roadkill you are to report such findings to Fish and Game. In order to salvage you will be given or mailed a free permit to do so. Certain species are illegal to salvage, so please be aware of your state guidelines, and above all be respectful.
Why does the fish and game want to know about the roadkill?
It helps them keep track of migration patterns, population counts, and it helps them determine where interventions may be necessary to adjust traffic signs/routes to minimize such incidents
.​I personally process the bones by cleaning, degreasing, and whitening them. This is not the glamorous side of the job and can take months to process each animal. Take this into consideration when items are priced. I am being paid for materials, my skills, and the arduous time put into each custom handmade piece.
